Kade Ruotolo, renowned for his impressive career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), has announced his transition to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). A student of André Galvao and the current lightweight submission grappling champion in ONE Championship, Ruotolo is determined to take his grappling skills to the next level.
From a young age, Ruotolo dreamed of entering the MMA world. “I always knew that one day I would put on the gloves. It was one of my biggest wishes. I really enjoyed watching fights as a kid, especially with my grandfather, who always tuned in to UFC matches.”
Despite his success in BJJ, Ruotolo is aware of the immense challenge that MMA represents. “Many talk about switching to MMA, but few achieve it. It’s a completely different sport that requires total dedication to training, recovery, and many other aspects. It’s much more demanding than a jiu-jitsu match or even training camps.”
Ruotolo is excited and ready to face this new challenge. “I’m not sure if the MMA world is prepared for my grappling style, but I’m eager to show what I can do in the octagon.”
